Ear Wax Removal

Microsuction is the safest removal method of wax in the ear canal and involves the Audiologist using an adjustable medical suction pump to remove the wax.  Occasionally, if the wax is too close to the ear drum, it will require irrigation using water.

The Audiologist will discuss the most suitable option to remove the wax during your appointment.

About Us

The Ear Lady is owned and run by Sarah Cain, a professional, highly-experienced audiologist who has been helping people to improve their hearing for over 10 years. Sarah is passionate about providing first class advice and guidance on ear health and hearing.

During her career, Sarah became increasingly frustrated when working in both the NHS and in a variety of private clinics.  Due to clinical restraints and time restrictions, it became increasingly difficult for Sarah to provide the best service and advice she wanted to.  In order to overcome this dilemma, Sarah decided the only way she could achieve her dream of providing a first class, top quality service to clients, was to open her own clinic, thus ‘The Ear Lady’ was born!

Sarah is fully trained in the latest ear wax removal techniques and is highly skilled in gently and quickly removing blockages that have often been causing hearing loss or ear pain for weeks.  She constantly ensures her knowledge on all new hearing aid technology is kept up to date and is able to offer demonstrations of hearing aids from all manufacturers.  This allows Sarah to provide the most appropriate, up to date technology and style of hearing aid for clients.
